2ND ANNUAL LAZARUS HINES MEMORIAL CELEBRITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 2nd Annunal Lazarus Hines Memorial Celebrity Golf Torunament took place on Friday, July 28, 2006 at South River Golf in Edgewater, Maryland.
This event benefited Breaking the Chain Foundation and Metropolitan Community Development Corporation (MCDC). Breaking the Chain Foundation provides mentoring, referral and sponsorship services to District children with a parent or parents who are incarcerated (or under correctional supervision). It provides intense services to youth and connects families to a variety of referrals services throughout Washington, DC.
We had some incredible celebrity guests participating. Former NBA Hoopsters Campy Russell and Sedric Toney and former NFL star Darryl Haley joined area golfers at South River for a days of golfing, contests, and most importantly, raising much needed funds for worthy causes. The event culminated in an awards dinner, a raffle and a silent auction of donated items.
