Programmatic Thrust

MCDC's programs and projects have economic development, community building and neighborhood development as their goal. We reach our goals by focusing our programs in the areas of Health and Human Services, Education and Real Estate Development. Our programs are designed to provide affordable housing for low- and moderate-income residents; wealth building training and counseling; quality health care in areas such as pediatric nutrition and physical fitness; adult day care; commercial and retail development which promote employment and business ownership opportunities; technology and job training; and youth development. Below is a description of MCDC’s existing and planned economic and community development programs in the District of Columbia and Prince George’s County, Maryland.
